Hello everyone and Happy New Year. It’s been four weeks since I sent the last Off to Lunch and said I was signing off early for Christmas because our second child was due to arrive. I am delighted to say that our daughter Mabel was born in December and that she and her mum are doing great. Thank you for all the messages of congratulations that I received from subscribers. I hope you enjoyed Christmas and New Year.
After taking a break for paternity leave and Christmas I am back with you this week. A full edition of Off to Lunch will arrive on Friday when I intend to look at what the key stories could be in the weeks ahead in 2023. Our Business Studies podcast will also return shortly and we have some cracking guests and stories lined up for 2023. After a great start in 2022, there is a really exciting 12 months ahead…
The start of a new year is an apt moment to remind you what you can expect from Off to Lunch and Business Studies and to explain to new subscribers what is coming. Off to Lunch looks at the business stories that really matter. We are thinking long-term rather than short, looking at solutions rather than just problems, and telling the stories that others may have missed - especially those happening outside London. Our Business Studies podcast episodes take a second look at stories from the past and what we can learn from them today, interviewing the key figures involved. Off to Lunch is in your inbox at the start and end of the week - Monday and Friday - plus paying members get our Sunday press review on a Sunday. There are also extra editions analysing big stories or events. Business Studies episodes land on a Tuesday in your inbox or wherever you get your podcasts.
Monday’s edition and the podcast are free for everyone who sign up to Off to Lunch, but if you pay just £6-a-month or £50-a-year to be an Off to Lunch member you will get full access to Friday’s edition as well as our Sunday press review and more. You can sign-up and pay via the link below. There are also packages for corporate or group subscriptions...
I missed the opportunity at the end of 2022 to do a “best of the year” round-up, so please find below a collection of Off to Lunch editions and Business Studies episodes that really worked and were particularly popular with subscribers.
