Latest podcast episode: Sage and Steve Hare
Hello everyone,
The latest episode of our Business Leader podcast looks at the story behind how Newcastle-based Sage became the biggest UK technology company on the stock market, valued at more than £10 billion. I speak to Steve Hare, the chief executive of Sage, about a range of topics - including how an introvert can thrive as chief executive, how he rebuilt his career after being told he would never work in the City of London again, and why small and medium-sized businesses in the UK risk being held back because they struggle to access capital and a support network for bosses.
The episode went live on Tuesday. As you may have noticed, we are no longer sending out new episodes via email and this newsletter. That is because we are making improvements to the podcast as part of our plans to expand Business Leader and this means more of a focus on dedicated podcast apps like Apple or Spotify.
